The Greek Community Gives Back

2022

The association held its 16th annual Big Fat Greek Golf Tournament, raising $5,500 for humanitarian aide relief to support Ukraine refugees coming to town. The Ukrainian Orthodox Hall often generously shares its space with the Greek community for Greek events and church services. The cheque was presented to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by KOGCA President, Bill Gambouras.

2023
All funds raised from the 2023 Golf Tournament were donated to the JoeAnna’s House, a local on-site accommodation house for out-of-town families with loved ones receiving care at Kelowna General Hospital. JoeAnna’s house is owned and operated by KGH and is run on donations from the community.
